Will you all say a prayer for her? And me?
She has been limping for weeks and I took her to the vet yesterday. He tried to do an exam but wasn't able to make a definite diagnosis. She may have partially torn a ligament in her knee. To do x-rays and a good exam he would need to put her under anesthesia. And if it was torn, then surgery. This is big bucks.
I decided, because of that big cost to try the conservative route. Pain medication and limited activity. Sometimes, if it is only a partial tear, they can heal on their own, but it takes weeks as the blood supply is limited to ligaments. I don't have a lot of patience to take her out on leash all the time. We have our huge yard electric fenced. She is used to chasing bunnies and having freedom out there. This part is going to be hard for her, and us.
So I need prayers for patience, for a little extra time in my day to care for her, and for healing.

This has happened to two of our dogs. One resolved on pain meds and the other, a puppy might have permanently damaged his leg or hip jumping. Its the same thing for us that they cannot properly diagnose without putting them asleep to get full range of the joints and stuff.
Praying. Feel your hardship!

(One of my dogs did go through the surgery and was like new after she healed. She didn't chase rabbits, but lived to have her frisbee thrown.)
