Please pray for my mom on Monday and the week following. She is having eye surgery and must keep her head/eyes down for a week after surgery. My mom is so chipper about all this - but it really, really is going to be tough for her. My mom is also amblyopic and this surgery is in her good eye, so it is extra frightening for all of us. Plus the whole boredom thing because my mom won't even be able to read - she cannot see well enough out of her other eye. (In true mom style, her plans are to pray lots of rosaries). Thanks

Edited to add update: Thank you all for prayers for my mom. She had a very large hole on her macula in her good eye. Surgery was succesful and after some very rough days, it does look like things are doing ok. We will know more on Monday after her doc appointment. In the meantime she is still keeping her eyes down and managed to avoid catching the flu my dad has.

Please pray for my dad and some health issues of his that have been ongoing for quite some time. He will be going to the doc Friday - and I'm going with him. If you don't mind praying for me, that I phrase questions in a non-threatening and non-intimidating way. I think my poor parents are a bit concerned that while I'll ask a ton of questions, I might drive the doc nuts. (They do have some reason to fear this ) and also that we get some good information and make wise decisions about how to proceed from here.
