and my son will be going. 
I've been home with him for five years, and now he'll be gone for eight hours every day.
Our hearts are just breaking.

This is such a suffering, Paula!!! May our Lady, comforter of the afflicted, be with you now!
I'm asking St. Dominic Savio to go with your son and animate him with courage and nobility during these days that He will be able to accomplish God's will even in this situation which removes him from your arms for part of the day.
