Dear ladies,
Okay, I'm going out on a limb here, as this is a prayer intention that I guard very closely, but something (or maybe, some ONE?) tells me that this is a group of women that I can trust.
My husband of 7 years struggles with a sexual addiction. This has been very painful for me, and only in the last few months have I been able to get past the anger I feel over the damage he has done to our marriage and the hurt he has caused me and actually pray for his soul. I would like to ask you to pray that the Lord will heal him and our marriage. Lately, I have been praying that God will help me to love my husband, especially when I don't feel like it. I'd like to ask all of you to pray that prayer for me, too.
Thank you! |

God bless your great courage and trust to share. I will pray with you that God will help you to love your husband especially when you don't feel like it. Prayer and fasting work against evil.

Prayers for you and your husband .... maybe offer a novena to JP2? He's really starting to work miracles from Heaven now (I think he was doing them down here too, don't you?)

I am praying for you all.
This is a very difficult cross to carry...and so many are carrying this cross . I'm sorry for your hurt and pray that God's grace will fill you with hope and healing.
Love,

I will be praying for you and your husband. This is surely a cross to bear, but you have many who will be praying for you, even those who don't post that they are.

Should we start a novena for this family and for all families who bear this cross?
I tried to look online for a novena to either St. Mary Magdalene or St. Agnes but couldn't find one. Does anyone have any other ideas?

What about a novena to St. Joseph, since he is the patron saint of fathers and of chastity?

Praying hard for you and your husband! From everything you read and hear (ex. Dr. Dobson's shows), these types of problems seem so common. Very scary and upsetting, but there seems to be many resources for help. I recommend Steve Woods' stuff. I know he has some good information on overcoming pornography addiction and things like that, as well as just really good support materials for men and dads.

A thought that comes to mind is that our number one goal for our husbands should be to help them get to Heaven. Maybe this thought can help in the bad times, especially in the loving him and praying for him when you don't want to or feel like it. Oh, so very hard and painful. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Praying for you and your husband.

I can only reiterate the other posts, with all the force I can muster to go St. Joseph, stay with St. Joseph, lean on him, beg him, call on him for emergency graces in the moment, ask him to be your family's spiritual leader, ask him to go through Mary for all the Gifts of the Holy Spirit you need, and ask him for any immediate favors you may need for your children and yourself.
He is an amazing intercessor for husbands and I don't believe he's never been denied anything he's asked Christ for. I've forgotten Dear St. Joseph too many times after an urgent need has been answered and with this post I resolve to go back to him and stay with him for this family and my dh.

I happened upon this website, and thought I should post it here. The Serenellians. It has many Catholic links associated with this topic. Prayer is our number one weapon and I am still praying for you and all those in the same situation.
