I am just living in total chaos---now with terrible sadness thinking about Ryan's passing and the Barrett family--- 
Poor Cay has contract negotiations on her mind--my husband got a new contract, but no money until OCT.  so he is working double shifts to try and make ends meet--gone at 5am home at 11pm--so I am worried about him.
90 degrees for the next 5 days up here in central ny---no airconditioning and no car to drive to air conditioning---the kids are miserable and they are showing it.
It's all just so hard---I'm still just clinging to that edge....I hate these awful feelings....

The good news about the edge you're clinging to is that it is at the Foot of the Cross, Joann! You're in the best of company there!
Your faithful husband is paving the way to heaven with his hard work and his fidelity to providing for his family! I hold him close with all fathers when I pray for my husband to St. Joseph every morning! My husband is not immune either to the anxiety of contract negotiations and questions of "will there be a contract at the end of the week? month? year?". I am inspired by the Blessed Mother's example in the face of the great unknown. I have decided my place is one of cheerful obedience and trust. I don't know where we may be. I don't know what it will look like...but I will do my best to make it beautiful just as you do with your family! You are a dear inspiration, Joann!
So many of us are walking in sorrow right now and standing at the Foot of the Cross with Emily and the Snow family, with Mary Ellen and her family, with all those who have lost and feel pain. It is one of the dearest consolations of our faith that we can all stand together in sorrow and in joy, at the Foot of the Cross, offering back to the Creator together, and that Our Lord's immeasurable Sacrifice covers all and lifts our sacrifices to heaven so that we can stand in great Amen and wait in joyful hope!
Keep holding on...I'm praying hard!!!
