Update 3 Aug 21
Dh still has the open wound but it is healing. Very slow. Thanks for praying and caring.
Update #2 Aug. 14
Thank you ladies for praying! Although he is still in pain, the infection has gone down and he is off the IV. He's not out of the woods yet, as he still cannot tolerate walking for long. I so hope he continues to go forward and heal. Thanks again. I will update a final time when this trial is over, unless, God forbid it doesn't get better.

Ladies, I am asking for prayers for my husband who has very badly hurt his leg playing baseball with our sons. He has an enormous abrasion on his calf that is very infected. He can barely bear weight on his leg.
He has taken oral antibiotics, then had to go to a shot and now is on IV antibiotics. Not to mention he is in severe pain and still trying to go to work since with the economy he feels strapped to go.
Please pray that this heals. Its been 10 days now.

Thank you for the prayers, ladies. Please keep them coming. . .this morning DH said he thinks its actually worse.  I know families out there have such harder crosses than this, but I do so worry about him, his financial stress, and that he will get some resistant bacteria in this green, oozing, festering wound. He said its his leg, behind the wound that is infected (it looks like a sunburn). . .its gone into his leg from his knee to ankle. He was in so, so much pain as he hobbled out the door to go to work. . .He's my hero who works so hard for us!  He has an IV port that he gets antibiotics through at lunchtime.  He's a doctor himself and his partners are helping him.
I will keep you posted. . .I knew I could come here for

Oh, Sarah...this sounds serious! I am praying this morning for your husband, and for all of you! I can imagine how the stress of this situation is eroding peace. May Our Lady shield you from thoughts that don't contribute to peace and may she gently guide this situation to healthy resolution.
