I'd like to ask for some prayers as my due date approaches (the 12th). I've noticed that I've become fearful of the pains and perhaps overly worried I may not pull through as I ought. I've also had a 'feeling' all through this pregnancy that something may not be right with the baby, or that something will go wrong during the birth. Thank you for your prayers!

I will pray for you. I don't think these feelings are uncommon and usually unfounded. I remember having those sort of fears in my last pregnancy and all was well. Praying to St Anne to keep you and baby safe!

Praying for your birth of your new baby. I've often felt anxious in this manner before the birth of our children. Praying that our Lord will hold you in the palm of his hand. "Jesus, I trust in you..."

Thank you all so much for your prayers. I just got back from the hospital. My shortest stay ever! I actually feel fine this time. (Except for the nasty afterpains!) Usually I'm feeling quite sick after a birth and end up staying a minimum of 3 days, last time was about 6, what with being taken to the nearest city by ambulance due to problems that baby was having.
The labour was fine, only 4 hours long, and baby
Jader Dionysius was born at 3:58 a.m. on August 11, 2009. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and is 21 inches long. There was nothing wrong with him, he is absolutely perfect.
Thank you all once again for your prayers!
