Well Ladies I am still trying to be hopeful but it appears I have been taken on the used book thing again. It has not ahppened for over 3 yrs . Yet yes the purchase I made off a yahoo list is looking to be bogus .
I'm trying not to be mad / resntful towards the person .
Yet like the last time I feel not mad so much in I'm not getting my books but rather why don't people have a conscience . I mean why do they think we are buying books used ?
I think to rip off families who are trying to help ends meet by buying used books is a big time low.
I even wrote the last woman . Telling her how if one is to that point we have used the food bank we have been on gov assistance . It is not shameful . Look at all the people living in tent cities right now and they don't think to go rip off other families.
I do not have huge amounts I used to for our homeschool . I only use the gov money we get each month and that also goes to the kids allowance etc.
Thinking I best just stick to this board when buying used items for now on .
It was not a huge amount but her 60 some american dollars was my 75 some canadian .dh is on limited hrs with work being so slow which is unheard of in construction season . We are thinking of doing our offline thing again to save money .
ok this is complaining please pray I let this go . I pray for this person and the family .
who knows maybe they are not even a family . for all I know it could be some wacky person . now that would not be off from my world  ok I have to keep it not to serious .
maybe I should stick to the library again .

Rox - I'm so sorry! Had you already sent the money? Is there any way you could stop payment on a check?
I do know what you mean though...often the evil one takes these situations and uses them to light a fire of resentment and anger by allowing thoughts to spill over into **why me** situations. I think a certain amount of justified anger is not inappropriate here, but I do empathize with your situation and will pray that there is either resolution or that you are able to let this go and have peace, Roxie!

Praying for you, Roxie, and for the person who has deceived you. You deserve better. Rest in God's love and know that He sees everything that happens.
We do use a lot of library materials, but sometimes that isn't enough. I'm sorry you have had such a bad experience....sending prayers Heavenward for you!

Roxie,
I will pray for your situation and tell you about one that I had. I don't know your situation, but I hope it ends well. I ordered a used book last October, I waited for it, the lady said she had sent it, still I waited  . I had given up on this book being a lost book, we do have problems with our mail sometimes. I then was looking for this book used again one day, but did not order. The next day, went to the mailbox and there was my book, two months and one week after I had ordered it  . Sometimes, the post office puts them on a shelf and they don't get mailed off for a couple of months.
I hope this happens to you.

Roxie, I am praying what happened in Robynn's situation happens to you! In the meantime, think of a really good intention, and offer your sufferings for the dear Souls in Purgatory..they will take care of the rest

I just got taken on a used book sale as well - only this was from CathSwap - where I trusted people more! I kept trying to contact the seller with no response to either of the 2 emails I had and all the time I was sure there must be some reasonable explanation - illness, computer failure, etc. only to go to the Swap Problems forum at Cathswap and find 2 other people blacklisting this same seller for the same thing. We've all started challenges with paypal and I wasn't out as much as you are but it's still frustrating. I hope you get a better resolution to your situation.
