My sister was diagnosed with brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme) in April 2005. My understanding is that this is the least treatable and deadliest form of brain cancer. She had a successful surgery but even though they got all the visible tumor, this type of cancer hides microscopically to appear again. Her prognosis is grim according to the world, but we have great faith that she can be healed. She was miraculously healed of ovarian cancer 40 years ago at the age of 13. (Seriously, the doctors opened her and found her riddled with cancer. They took out the main tumor and closed her back up with no hope.)
She knew that when she went in November for her MRI that the tumor would not have returned but it had. . This Saturday she will have another MRI. Please pray that it will be gone. Please also pray that if it is still growing that she will not think it is for her lack of faith. This has been something that we occasionally discuss -- my belief that God can heal her coupled with my knowledge that His will is not always my will (that's a toughy) and her belief that if she CLAIMS the healing then it will happen.
She is no longer Catholic (was raised) but is a strong Christian who loves to watch "Journey Home." (I also pray that she will one day have her own story to tell of her return to the Church.)
With a grateful ,

Praying for your sister's total healing of body, if that is God's will for her, and total healing of soul.

THANK YOU for all your prayers!!!
I wanted to tell you all that my sister's name is Frances and that she will be finding out the results of her MRI this Wednesday. I humbly ask for your continued prayers.
And I wanted to tell you, Leonie, that Frances' middle name is Leonie (it was our French-Canadian & Huron grandmother's name.)
Thanks again,
Jen

Frances went to NIH on Wednesday and found out that her tumor is still there and has grown. They want to give her an experimental drug (not chemo) and to operate on her in about 3 weeks. Let's just say that she is not excited about this.
Also, a friend of hers had just invited her on a Christian conference cruise at the end of February so she's thinking of delaying the surgery so she can still go. I don't know if a few weeks will matter or not, but please pray for her discernment.
I forgot to tell you that she has a 16 year old son - Joshua - if you don't mind, please include him in your prayers.
I know that I am asking for a lot. Thank you again, all, for your concern and prayers.
Jen
