I just went to my intake appointment (will see the doctor in 2 weeks) and I could use some prayers again. This appointment was just a review of my medical history- no exam- and after going over everything, it was decided that I will also see a high-risk specialist. I'm happy about that but one of the things that the medical assistant mentioned was worry of a possible incompetent cervix, especially in light of my last pregnancy ending in a late term miscarriage (17 weeks) which she termed at very preterm delivery. I don't want to borrow trouble, or worry unnecessarily especially since there is no way of knowing before a complete exam, but prayers at this point would be so appreciated!!

Praying for you and hoping to offer encouragement by saying that my mother was finally diagnosed with an incompetent cervix after repeated miscarriage and the solution was a simple (only slightly uncomfortable) procedure that kept her cervix tight throughout her pregnancy and resulted in the healthy delivery of my little brother. That was 30 years ago. I am sure they have come along way in dealing with this problem. Congratulations for you and have hope that with the right diagnosis, they can better help you carry this little one full term!
