My dd will be traveling out of state to participate in a conference in what she hopes to be her future course of college study and career. She leaves this Saturday (7/11) and returns Friday (7/17). I'm so happy for her and yet my mama's heart is trying not to be nervous. Thank you for praying for her safety and a fruitful participation, for the other participants, and for me as I wave goodbye and am parted from her for a week.
I'll be mostly away from the computer this week as we prepare for her trip and we'll be providing respite care for the weekend for 2 little ones. Thanks for the prayers and know that I'm praying for all the intentions placed here.

I'm praying, Angie! I'd probably be able to hold it together til she was out of sight...then make a run for the kleenex box and get it all out.

I have been praying, A! I am so proud of her and excited for her. What a gift! A great opportunity!
I remember well being nervous sending my first two to Girl's state and to a Yosomite camp, respectively. They did well........and were not impressed with the silly behavior, of which there was not much, based on the type of kids who get to go to these things 
Who knows.......maybe in a year or two, you could be sending her out of the country!

My two teens just came back from a youth conference in Baton Rouge and I had days of holding my breath.

Thank you all ! She arrived safely and is having a wonderful time. Now, if you could all keep praying for safety for her and her peers as well as a safe trip home on Friday, I sure would appreciate it!
(We're providing respite care for 2 sweet little ones for a few days so I'm not able to post, but I am reading and praying.)
