I'm sending up prayers of thankgiving to God - we were just on what I hoped would be the start of many summer morning walks, when my small 6yo came within 2 inches of being backed over on her bike by a mini-van whose driver was backing out fast (and not listening at my screams to stop!)
Please pray for my heart (my figurative heart, I mean) - I am SO angry at that driver who didn't even stop and say something when I finally got my dd away from behind the van, I'm angry at my kids who weren't listening well this morning, and angry at myself for several reasons. And hesistant to ever do that again or let my kids on bikes! 
Thanks for your prayers.

How scary, Amy! Prayers for you and yours and the driver ... why is it so many folks are in a hurry to get to work where they spend all day complaining about being at work?

Yikes! This is one of my biggest fears -- my kids bike around the neighborhood all the time and I'm not always with them. Sending up aves for them and for you.

Praying Amy, it's sort of like a post traumatic stress, I know that I was deeply effected a few years ago when one of my little ones went out onto a busy inner city road without me realising it..when I saw a lady driver carrying him back into the grounds we were at just made melt at the knees..I couldn't stop the replaying in my mind, "What IF the worst had happened???" I'd have to say to myself, "But it DIDN'T be thankful and let it go!" ..I just felt this strange numbness and found it hard to not think about it..thank GOD for guardian angels!!
