Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ladies I have been praying and meditating on this since sunday Father's day it was Fr.Joes last day with us and he is moving on now to rural area of our province .I've a feeling he will thrive there and on that day sunday day 6 of my novena toi OLG it just so happened to fall on request for priests and priestly vocations I gave Fr. Joe some of my Our Lady bath salt ST.Jospeh mix and he indeed has a devotion to ST.Joseph .
So what I felt led to pray for this yr. for priestly vocation is for thr return to inspire our young aboriginal men and in fact all indigenous young men to respond to Our Lord's calling . To please help us encourage them to step up for Our Lord .
Our parish said goodbye to the Oblates 3 yrs ago and hello to the dioseion priests now . It was very sad because the oblates have been so very loved and a treasue for so many aboriginal peoples here and indeed our retired oblate priests attend still each mass but this order is dieing off here and it is so sad.
As well many of the reserves who have priests come from far away have been sent back to Africa etc. because they did not work well.
I so hope Our Lord & Our Lady will work with healing here and there will once again be a growth .
Our own boys have a calling and I pray each day for each and everyone of them . It used to be here many a family had there young sons eneter this vocation it has sadly dropped off. I feel so blessed to be a mother of such young men but the road is so very very clutterd and many distractions of this world etc.
There is much hate felt toward our church from the abuse that happened and the hate is passed on generational now so we have a very long healing road ahead.
I hope you would consider very much praying for our young aboriginal men this yr. who are called to this vocation and very much prayers for protection because satan will indeed not be happy woith this work .
Thanks so much . Your Sister in Christ , Roxie

Roxie, our family prays for native people daily, especially children in need, and will add this specific intention daily - increase priestly vocations among aboriginal and all indigenous men. Thank you for sharing your love for the Church in your region and with all of us .

Love,

I join you in praying for an increase in vocations, Roxie! I pray as well that they will be flooded with the graces and cooperate with those graces in order to remain faithful to their vows! I know you are correct - the evil one attacks our holy priests relentlessly! Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, pray for them!
