I went in to the police today to see about reporting something that happened to me 15 years ago. The detective I saw was lovely and very helpful, and I feel positive and encouraged, but still it has stirred up a lot of bad feelings for me and dh. I want to talk to a priest before I make a 100% definite choice of whether to go back and make a full statement with a view to the police tracing the perpetrator and arresting/questionning him. I would really appreciate prayers - for wisdom and clarity for dh and me, the children to be protected, and for the man and his family. Thank you so much.

I am having a crisis at the moment. Nothing further has really happened with the investigation, but the police officer says they can't find a record of the person at the address where the offence was committed, and I feel as if I am going mad. I went today to identify the property, and has had a very bad effect - so I have been crying hysterically and had a panic attack. Tonight is my sister's wedding rehearsal and I couldn't go; the wedding is Sunday and I want to be calm and together for her, especially as she has no idea what is going on and won't understand why I couldn't go tonight, and my reaction is upsetting for my parents who do understand. Dh and the children have also seen me very upset and that is stressing them out. I would really really appreciate prayers for calm and peace and to be able to "shut the door" on this until after the weekend.

I know the pain of reliving an horrific experience years later in order to file proper charges. May you find closer and peace and strength and sleep. A crisis center or woman's center may be able to offer free counseling if necessary. Many prayers for you from me.

I would like to ask for prayers once again as I seek an appointment to see one of our very busy priests, and also for today as I am going to try to get to see my parents and tell them about the attack, and I am very nervous. Thank you.

I would like to thank all of you for your prayers. I was able to get a fast appointment to see a priest, and telling my parents went well. I really do appreciate continued prayers as I am hugely struggling to cope - after 15 years of suppressing it and thinking I was coping, I am falling apart and feeling as if it was yesterday, which with two children to look after is not going well for any of us.
