Hi Moms~
Well...we had an interesting day on Tuesday. We found out early Tuesday morning that we are expecting baby #3! We are delighted and thrilled.
I had to call my Creighton physician right away because I have very low progesterone. I am already being supplemented, but due to the pregnancy, need IM shots along with suppositories. Please pray we do not miscarry. My last two children have given us such scares in pregnancy.
While on the phone with my doctor, our entertainment system crashed down onto our 23 month old son. It weighs at least 200 lbs. My husband had already left for work. I was terrified. Long story short...he is bruised and scraped--barely. He is virtually unscathed. The ped. was astounded. However, please pray that there is no internal bleeding or anything that was not caught by the doctor. Such a scary situation.
We have an upcoming trip to Italy. Please pray for our safety...and the safety of our wee little one in utero as well on this trip.
Within 10 minutes, we were elated with the news of baby #3...and then devastated with the accident involving our son. So many emotions for this pregnant mommy.

Yes, praying for you and your baby and your son!...how scary!
We have attached all bookcases to our walls...dresser drawers are also very dangerous if the little one pulls out the bottom one to climb in to get into upper drawers...there was a fatal accident regarding this one with one of our friend's nieces a few years back..not saying this to scare you...but just as a precaution to all the ladies here.

Oh, congratulation, Maggie!
Prayers for all your travel!
I, too, strap my bookcases to the wall. Boys are climbers. The bigger they get, the higher they scale. You can buy inexpensive kits at the hardware store and from kid's safety suppliers, or you can just have your husband mount an L bracket to your bookcase and the wall. We've done that too. I'm so relieved your little guy wasn't seriously hurt in that accident. Thanks be to God and his guardian angel for protecting him!

Wow! What a rollercoaster ride!
