My dd has avascular necrosis of the right hip. On thursday she is having a bone marrow aspiration procedure done which takes her adult stem cells from the bone marrow and places them directly on the injury site, (concentrating bone marrow reparative cells to accelerate tissue healing).

These stem cells are special cells, once they are in the injury site, have the ability to divide in order to generate cells of the exact type that are required.

The doctor has given my dd a 60% chance for improvement. Please pray that God will bless the doctor and all involved and that the procedure will be a success.

Thank you all for your prayers!

The surgery procedure went well. The doctor said her hip joint looked like a honey comb. He injected her stem cells into the holes and surrounding area. Now we have to pray that those cells regenerate and grow new tisssue etc..

If she can be in less pain or possibly stop limping it will be a success. I'm hoping God in His great Mercy will grant her complete healing. The alternative is a hip replacement.
