We are leaving tomorrow to visit Jason in AZ and my stomach is starting to feel the anxiety. Please, if you have a moment, would you offer a prayer for peace for me...I really fear flying.
Oh, and a safe trip as well.

Here are a few tips for flying - to take or leave:
Stay distracted by fiddling with stuff in your purse or carry on, chewing gum, sucking on mints, listening to music, reading, writing, coloring, doodling...
Avoid talking to those you do not love:). I know this sounds harsh but folks can take energy away from you too easily and rarely have I gained energy from a fellow traveler.
Don't look at your watch. Seriously, forget about time. It just doesn't matter. You will land when you land.
I already know that you'll be praying  but you might also want to have a few pithy things to tell yourself on your journey like...
"I can be unhappy (uncomfortable, etc.) for a few hours."
"This is only an inconvenience."
"This moment, all is well."
"This will be over soon."
"Another margarita, please!" 
Donna, you couldn't be coming to AZ at a more perfect time. The weather is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Praying for you, dear!

Praying for you today, Donna! When I fly, I emphatically request that every single guardian angel of every person on that plane make their way to the wings of plane, disperse themselves evenly, and carry the plane to its destination safely and without event. Silly, I know. But, it makes me feel like I'm mustering my reinforcements to the right places.
