My dh was fortunate to survive another round of lay-offs at work this week, but a good friend of his was not. We are relieved here but at the same time feel terrible for all those without a job today. If you have a moment today, could you please offer up a prayer for Harold and his family?

We are relying so much right now on St, Joseph to carry us through this stormy economy.

Here's the prayer we're saying each evening:

Glorious St. Joseph, spouse of the Immaculate Virgin and foster father of Jesus Christ, obtain for me and all the members of my family, a pure, humble and charitable mind and perfect resignation to the Divine Will. Be our light and guide throughout life that we may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.
