Some of you know that we have been praying to know God's will regarding the schooling of our children. My husband was homeschooled and desires it for our children, but left the final decision up to me - if I thought I could do it. Last year I didn't think I could do it and so we enrolled my 6yo in Kindergarten at a good Catholic school. Her 5yo sister has been learning at home with her 4yo and 2yo brothers.
On the Feast of St. Joseph, as we were waiting for the bus, I asked my daughter, "What is your favorite thing at school?" In the past she has said, "recess" or "center time". Her answer was completely unexpected: "When I get off the bus and ride home with you in the van." I then asked her, "Well, then, how would you like me to be your teacher at home next year?" and she said, "I would like that."
I went to Mass after the bus picked her up and in the homily Father quoted St. Bernardine of Siena from a sermon on St. Joseph, "There is a general rule concerning all special graces granted to any human being. Whenever the divine favor chooses someone to receive a special grace, or to accept a lofty vocation, God adorns the person chosen with all the gifts of the Spirit needed to fulfill the task at hand." I felt like God was calling me, right then and there, to homeschool. This was such a great consolation in my prayer and I'm moving forward with the confidence that He will give me the grace I need to homeschool my children. Thank you, St. Joseph!!!

Praying for you to continue to feel God's hand in your life. Thanks for sharing a beautiful story.
My husband always calls little things like this "love notes from our Lord."
Peace.
