Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My husband's good friend and colleague has been battling cancer. He is married with 2 small children. Yesterday they induced a coma in hopes of controlling other problems enough to do the most intense chemotherapy they can.   But they don't have much hope. The cancer has entered his nervous system. The docs are saying he will not make it to Christmas. We are heartbroken. Can you say a little prayer for Ed and his family? Thanks.

Praying for your husband's friend and his family at this sad time...and for your family as well.

Take care,

The very day I asked for prayer for Ed he began to improve! They really thought he was going to die. Today, less than a month later, the docs said that there are no cancer cells in his body. This recovery is staggering.

The prayers of Catholic homeschoolers are powerful indeed!

Thank you so much.

How wonderful!! I don't know how I missed this prayer request the first time, but I'm so glad to see he is recovering!!

I know first hand how powerful the prayers of the ladies (and gents) of this board are. It's incredible.

Praise be to God!

(This time I cried "happy tears" (as my kids call them) as I read your post.)

More happy tears here--I only just saw this today, Bridget, but I'm so happy for him and his family. Miracles do happen!
