I am embarrassed to even write this down.
OK. Here it goes...I have started secretly smoking..again. I quit 9 years ago, with only one small time of starting again for a few months. My children have never known that I smoke. I sneak out back, wait until they are asleep or whenever I can get a chance too. My husband knows and is very, very disappointed in me. I am trying to quit but am finding it incredibly hard. I think the stress we have been under, due to finances, has taken it's toll on me...and now here I am, with this horrible addiction again.
Please pray for me. I am going to try to quit again tomorrow. I really need help with this. Thank you.

Nicotine addiction is tenacious. I'm praying that you find exactly the right motivation, help, and healthy substitutes to battle well, Vanna  .

Hang in there, keep looking at those beautiful children, and vow to take care of yourself so you can be fully present to them for a LONG TIME!!  I think we can all relate in some way to those kind of battles. Praying for you!!

Praying for you! My dh quit 20 years ago and he still craves a cigarette sometimes after dinner, it's a tough habit to kick.

I so appreciate your sweet transparent honesty on this very tough topic. Lung issues are very near and dear to my heart and I can only tell you you are on the right track by bringing your "confession" intention to this board. Prayer warriors abound here, you can be assured of that. 
Dear Vanna, this seems to have crept up on you and now becomes your personal Lenten cross. I invite you to feel comfortable to come back as often as required to request more prayer no matter what,okay? God Bless you this day as you walk towards quitting.

Thank you everyone.  <--I'm crying right now because of your love and support.
I didn't do great last week but my resolve is strong and I'm giving it 100% effort now. I am purchasing these Commit lozenge. (I cannot for the life of me spell that word...is that right? Lozenge. It looks wrong. LOL) Anyway, I've heard that a lot of people around me have been successful using those so I am going to try.
