The plane crash last night happened 20 minutes from our house, and less than
a mile from our good friend's house. It has been extremely difficult for
this community. Buffalo is a mid town city with small town living. I've been
on edge all day, and night. They haven't put out the list of the people who
died in the crash (the normal people). There have been some names of famous
or well known people, and one or two others have gotten out here or there,
but for they haven't released the list. I want to see if there's anyone I
know on it. :-( In Buffalo, that's VERY likely to happen.
I know that one young lady (a law student) who died once babysat for our
friends (same as the one so close to the crash). She was coming home for the
weekend to be her 4 year old nephew's *date* for his Valentine's party. :-(
In Buffalo, you will be affected in some way by such a tragedy. Already, it
was very tough knowing our friends lived so close, and wondering last night for awhile if it was there house that was hit.  It just puts so many things
in life into perspective today, and my nerves are on edge, and I've been very weepy all day.
Thanks for your prayers! :-) Our community could use your prayers in a big
way tonight. There are SO many hurting. :-(

I have many family members in Buffalo - my parents were born and raised there and I was born there and much later returned to attend Canisius. I just can't imagine what everyone is going through, and my heart goes out to the community & those who lost family and friends.
It's such a tragedy

I'm all the way out in Phoenix, and our next door neighbor said she had a childhood friend who died in the crash. I don't know where she got the name list from.
Praying for all those who died, their families and friends, and all those whose lives have been touched by this tragedy.

Tracy,
We're praying for all of you up there. Mike handles the television package for the Canisius teams so he flies in and out of Buffalo all winter. That news rocked me to the core.
In terms of passengers, I just learned that my midwife's sister was among those killed on the flight. She was one of ten siblings. Please pray for these families!
