Hello lovely board members;
Humbly (again) I ask if you think of our family to please say a prayer for us. For my husband battling his deteriorating lung disease and the surprise admission into hospital for a complete lung rehab bootcamp where he must live and remain nightly with weekends out, well maybe. It was such a shock and on top of meeting his new respiratory doctor in the morning, this happened the same night. Wow! They say God works in mysterious ways, and boy oh boy does he EVER! We just moved to our new area in early December and don't know many folks here yet, and living over an hour from my hubby, well....let's just say, it's been a fairly tough pill to swallow this week for the children and I. Not to mention of course my husband and all the many, many tests and hard work he has ahead of him. He is scheduled to come out for good shortly before or during Holy Week, which is a great thing, but such a tough Lent for him along the way.
Anyway, that is my update and know that we weren't sent here, moved here, for nothing. There is a purpose to all things and when we asked for 'speedy', I supposed God answered our prayers. ('')
Thank you so much.

Renee, I saw this when you posted but haven't had time to come back and chime in. I'm definitely praying for all of you. Have you thought of setting up a CarePage for him (it's an easy way to keep people updated - they have to subscribe and then get email notifications whenever you update the CarePage)? This would save you lots of phone calls and repetitive emails...
Holding all of you in prayer...

Renee, I am praying for you, your husband, and your entire family as God continues to work mysteriously and tenderly for your family! May this time in lung rehab (and your husband's very real trip into the desert this Lent!) be fruitful and yield more hope, and great possibility!

I am deeply humbled by your friendships, your love and your prayers here everyone. Man oh man, last week was ULTRA hard for our family, tears spilling a whole lot until the shock of everything simmered down a bit. When my husband returned home from week one this past weekend, he held a manual for the course he was involved in, and after perusing it all, I am very confident with not only, where he is, but definitely what he is doing. Not only will this offer much physical strength benefiting a pre-op situation, the hospital has a mock apartment they use for ongoing educational classes for conserving energy while doing many everyday things. The mantra of up three steps and rest, up three steps and rest came home with him and wow, did that every help him out! Little things have great benefits when admistered by professionals who know how the patient suffers, sometimes quietly, sometimes unknowingly to ways of coping yet taught. With six physiotherapists, two occupational therapists, a nutritionist, two special nurses, two respiratory doctors overseeing the program and so many others who are making it all happen, my hat is off to them all, with sincere gratitude.
Now to keep my husband in the course and not allowing the "I can do it" attitude to falter in any way. They specify over and over again, family and friend cheerleading in regular intervals are absolutely necessary! And with a patient email service available, and little ones making bright colored posters (as only they can - smile), we are all intending on getting that room VERY brightly decorated with a happy and cheery "YOU CAN DO IT" flair. His other two roommates do not have happy cheer from others, so we are going to work hard to ensure they are included in the days, weeks to come. It will be at least five more weeks, and up to seven in total if all goes well as I've mentioned before...so here's hoping for staying power, and a great peace that surpasses all understanding to fill my husband up with what he needs to endure the time away from me and our family.
Your support is so special to me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Good thing for morning offerings, you are all there. Be assured of that.
