Please say a prayer for my grandmother. She is in her 90's and has not gone to confession for a very long time. I'm not sure what she really believes when it comes to God.
A few days ago, my mom found her face down in the corner of her bed. Somehow she ended up that way. My mom couldnt figure out, from her explanation, how it happened. My mom had to call my Uncle and my cousin to come help b/c she could not get her up on her own. Thankfully they were nearby and were able to come quickly.
They have been talking about what they should do now. My mom works a lot and so does my dad. My grandmother pretty much stays in her room. It's so sad. It makes my heart hurt. They live in a 2 story house so my grandmother cannot go up and down the stairs without help. My parents and Uncle and Aunt have been thinking of putting her into assisted living. My grandmother barely speaks english and my mom knows someone who owns an assisted living place. She says the owners are filipino and so are all the employees. If they had to put her in a place, this would be the best option. My worry is that no one would be able to communicate with her. If she goes here, that problem is solved. The only thing is their funding is frozen. My mom, not even with the help from my cousins and Aunt and Uncle, cannot afford to put her there.
I guess what im asking for is prayers to know what the right thing to do here. And prayers for the funding to come in, if that is God's will. And especially prayers for her soul. My heart hurts so bad. It hurts knowing she's so lonely in my mom's house. It hurts knowing she might be in a place where her family is not with her. It hurts knowing she might be hurting too. I just hate the situation all over. I wish so much i could just live in town and take care of her. Thank you very much!! May God Bless you all!

It is so hard to decide "when" to move a loved one to an assisted living home. We moved my Grandmother to one I know before she was ready, but it was for her own safety. My Grandmother lived there foe several years until she passed away this last Christmas. I am sorry it is so hard to watch as you are not in a situation to help. My Grandmother was in Florida, and my family lives in Texas. I will pray for your peace for your sweet Grandmother and for your family to be guided to the best plan for her.
