After many, many losses, we were thrilled to have Sam (who is now turning two) join our family in 2/07. Since then I have had one early miscarriage. No solid reasons have been found for my losses, but they did put me on metformin with Sam, because I do seem to have underlying glucose issues. In any case, Sam has brought so much joy and love to our family. We are all so much happier and closer since his birth. As my fortieth birthday approaches (in May), I find myself really longing for another child. On the one hand, I feel kind of guilty, because I feel so incredibly lucky to have come this far. On the other hand, I just know that each child brings more love and strengthens our family.
I am preparing my body the best I can for pregnancy. DH would love another, but does hate to see me suffer with the losses, too. It's hard, and scary. Please pray for me as I enter this scary time!

Kerry, praying for you. I understand completely about the Dr's not finding any real reason for the losses. It is so very painful and then at the news of a new pregnancy, the joy and fear are combined. Congratulations on having a full term baby in the midst of the losses. What a triumph. I will ask St Gerard to pray for you.
