Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello everyone, so good to be online at a coffee shop here!!!! Ahhhhhhh.....boy do I miss all of you too!

I am just catching up on the boards and specifically this prayer list. Please know I am keeping you all in my prayers, with love.

We've moved in the midst of winter knee deep snow, mission complete, though very difficult in the end with temperatures of -32 degrees celsius last week.

My husband has been accepted into the respiratory physiotherapy rehabilitation program within an hour of our home. That was the best news so far and we only got it all yesterday after a long list of testing requirements and interviews. Hooray! Doctors there were warm, caring and absolutely fantastic, boosting my husband's weary spirits up a notch for sure.

Now to press on and wait, wait and wait some more to meet the respiratory doctor in our own area for emergencies (his receptionist says May, other doctors say "we'll write him a letter to expedite this"), the surgeon and his team in charge on the transplant and another respiratory doctor, or two, for daily care around the surgeon and his team. It's mind boggling at the best of times, keeps us on our knees ALL THE TIME and so humbling.

My husband was informed back in November (much to our shock) that he was now placed onto the lung transplant list, a very difficult place to be, and we still don't know WHERE he is on that list. Like I said, mind boggling! And so much pastoral care is necessary all the time, when in doubt, when times are so hard we can barely cope. But, cope we must, and we do....woohoo.

So, I will trudge upon the snow and laugh often while making snowy angels on the ground with my younguns, praying for God's will be done. And then, I will complain a bit and ask him to get the internet satellite people to please, please help us so we can get back online soon. Yes, that's correct. No internet abilities in our (hickville) little country town here due to many trees in the way.

Blessings to you dear friends, and big hugs!

It's so good to hear from you, Renee, and we look forward to the days you can be back on line, too. We'll keep praying for all to go well with the rehab program and transplant waiting.
