Just wanted to share that the group arrived safely in Haiti. Unfortunately, the leader, a dear friend of ours named Charlie , was unable to go. It seems within an hour of when he should have been leaving his home, he suffered a grand mal seizure. His wife had to tend to him, while also making arrangements to get the others to the airport. The van they would be driving had a dead battery and would not jumpstart (it was 8 degrees here this morning!). In desparation his wife sprinkled Holy Water over the van and prayed. With the next attempt, it started right up!
Please pray for Charlie, for both physical and spritual healing. He is so distressed about missing this trip that took six months of his life to plan, raise funds, and organize from start to finish... and then he couldn't even go! I pray the Lord helps him to understand that His plan may not make sense right now, but as always it will be a far greater plan than any of us could conceive of!
With all the setbacks that have occurred and been overcome, I can only believe that much fruit will be borne from this mission. Please continue to pray!
