We have noticed that our 13yo son Nicky was walking funny lately. At first we thought it was due to flat feet (and we did have him fitted for inserts) but as he recently hit a big growth spurt we realized it looked like his right leg was shorter than the left. I took him to our friend who is a Chiropractor and even though she could get the legs in better alignment, we knew there was something not right...soo...
Well we took him to get XRays which show something wrong with the head of his femur and now they are sending us for an MRI tomorrow. I KNOW this kid is going to be tall(dad is 6ft9 and I am 5ft 3) ...maybe not as tall as dad, but still! So I know he still has a lot of growing left to do. I don't know what the end result will be or how they plan on handling it. Please pray that we choose the right dr and I wouldn't be against any miracles either ;o)
If it isn't one thing, its another... and I am not looking forward to any discomfort for Nick or ANY more medical bills.
I feel so weird...kinda like I just got the air knocked out of me.
------UPDATE------
We got a diagnosis for Nicky. He has a Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphesis which is explained here
Unfortuanately the dr. I have to speak to will not be in until next week. Please keep Nicky and all involved in your prayers. I hope they make the best decisions for him and he has no complications!

Thank you all so much for your prayers!! We do have a diagnosis finally as seen in the original post above...
Anne, we sure have had more than our fair share of Dr. bills in the last year..between my pregnancy, and the baby's surgery...not to mention our shaky finances (they are a little better but we are still not where we need to be)
Keep praying! I KNOW of the power of this list and the wonderful comfort it brings! What a blessing you all are to me! I love you all dearly!!
