This prayer request just came to me from a local Catholic HS friend. Please, if you are reading this, say a prayer for all involved:

Please, my friends, my sisters...please pray right now - this minute for a woman who is on her way to end the life of her child inside. She told me just this minute and is on her way to a witch doctor who will give her something to drink to kill the baby. My heart is breaking for this mother and her child. I told her she was in our home for a reason and that she needed to look around at our children - look into their eyes and tell them it's ok to abort - they are all adopted and were saved that fate - why can't her child recieve the same grace? Please pray that she will not be able to drink this potion or that she will immediately throw it up and the baby will be saved. I offered to take care of her and we would take care of her baby...whatever was needed but she didn't seem able to accept our love - please pray that she has a change of heart.
In God's Holy name, I pray all these things.

UPDATE from my local friend:
Well, my sisters, I want to tell you that at 11:55, just moments after I sent you the original email I received a call from the mother - she was standing at the door of the witch doctor and found herself unable to knock. I begged her to let me come and get her - although she said no, she did come back to our home about one hour later and had not gone through with the abortion! Praise God. I beg you not to stop praying but to continue to lift her up, undergird her with your hearts and souls to stay strong. She is still struggling with her decision but for now our baby is still alive. I pointed to our Gabriel and told her that I daily pray for his birth mother in thanks for the choice she made to have him. She's been around our home long enough now to have connected to him and our other three as well. I pray their presence is something towards her decision to have this baby. Keep praying - and, thank you so much - I can't do this alone. Love, E.
