I'm asking for prayers for me today. I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia yesterday and I feel horrible. I've been battling a cold/respiratory thing for more than 2 weeks and it's turned into this.
I still have much to do, just to get to a minimum of readiness, and DH is working his tail off with side jobs so we can make the mortgage payment this month. I just want a clean living room for Christmas morning, and a clean kitchen. If only I could convince my children they don't need to eat for the next 2 days, and if they would just stay in their bedrooms. (Ok, not really)
I also have deadlines to meet for freelance jobs I have outstanding (which I am immensely grateful for, because without them we couldn't have bought groceries or paid electric this month), but all I want to do is climb into bed.
I sound like a big whiny fool, don't I? Please just pray that I can kick this pneumonia, OH, and that Lydia doesn't develop it. She's been sniffly and cough-y for 2+ weeks as well, but her lungs were still clear yesterday. She had pneumonia last year and I hope she doesn't get it again.

I'm praying Melanie.
Give the kids each a laundry basket and have them spend 10 minutes going around the living room tidying and throwing everything that doesn't belong in your living room in the basket and just hide that in the closet.
Light a candle on your mantle.
Turn on a Christmas movie and soak up a few minutes of the joy of the season.
Ask your dh to pick up frozen waffles or pop tarts on the way home - there is no shame in having to resort to some convenience foods to get through these trials.
I'm offering up prayers for your healing and that little Lydia escapes this. Take it easy, Melanie!

Thank you all for your prayers! I am feeling MUCH better this week, and Lydia seems to be almost over this respiratory thing withOUT ending up with pneumonia (yay!)
