So, since the week after Lily's cleft repair on Oct 28th, someone, if not all seven of us, have been sick....every single week....ranging from sore throats and fever of 102, pneumonia, bronchitis, lots of doc visits, lots of aerosol treaments....not a LOT of sleep  .....Lily is sick, not bad at the moment, but she has already had a near miss with pneumonia two weeks ago, and now I have to get a culture for her tracheostomy today.....ds with the same syndrome and small airway has been coughing for four days, day and night, with a fever spiking of 102....did I mention we are suppose to travel out of state next Friday?
So....I know compared to many these are little requests, I mean that....I am so thankful for the times of health and illness....they always teach me a lot and get me on my knees....but if you could say an Ave for us, I would be very grateful. I know everyone will be okay, eventually, but there is always that little sleep deprived voice in me that starts the "what if's" and my anxiety starts..whew.
I have named this our "Little Way" Christmas. I am trying to stay in the moment, not stress about all of the crafts, books, etc..that aren't happening this year...and just breath....and keep others breathing!!

Praying for you all my friend. Wish I was close enough to bring you some chicken soup and hot tea. I like the "Little Way" Christmas - those are often the best - like the first Christmas - all there was was Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph - that's all you need.

I sure do hope you are all feeling well soon and are able to travel. Long stretches of illness and injury are such a challenge. You are doing great under really difficult circumstances  .

It can be unsettling when God sweeps down and plans out Advent for us. There can be no question that He longs to draw you all in closer to Him...amidst the ickies and ALL of the tumult going on in your life of late. You may not be crafting or reading or anything else you would normally do, but how great the treasures you are setting aside for Him with your sacrifices of love for this family. If we could draw aside the curtain of the supernatural for one moment, I am certain we would see that you have prepared the softest bed for the Divine Child with your Little Way. You are a beautiful example to me of how to truly LIVE Advent, and you are often in my prayers. God bless you with much joy during this season. I'm praying for swift healing for all of you!
