I wanted to thank you ladies  for praying for my DH and our precarious financial situation!
God answered us in a most unusual way. *I* got offered a job.  I've been freelance editing for a bit, and the company offered me permanent part-time work, whatever hours I want, whatever days, etc. The company is an awesome educational resource company, so it's just up my alley. And my editorial project manager loves the fact that I'm a homeschooler because it suits the company's idea of education being fun and interesting. (I honestly am loving being an editor once again for part of the day.) 
So, God answered my heart's prayer of being independent and not living with anyone and still homeschooling, and He answered my husband's prayer, too.
This first week, DH has been working from the lesson plans, and he is doing the bulk of the homeschooing. I work from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Then I come home, and life resumes as normal as always. My subjects are history and literature. Yes, I gave myself the favorite subjects.  So, I'm still a homeschooling mom, just with less hours. It's been tremendous to share this with DH.
God has been so good to us. The $ from the part-time work is decent, but He also put me in the path of other companies, so I can freelance. Somehow, with a part-time job and freelancing, we are able to make rent. And my DH's night job covers the other costs.
So, we are doing well, praise God.
Thanks so much for your prayers! And thank you, sweet Jesus, for taking care of us in such a unique way.
