The first for my grandmother who was hospitalized because she was having great difficulty breathing. She has congestive heart failure and fluid built up in her chest cavity (they were going to try and drain this to relieve the pressure on her lungs). I've not heard whether she will be released any time soon.

Also for my kiddos. One came down with chicken pox last week, the other two have been running a low-grade fever for a week now with no spots. We would like for them all to pass easily through this childhood illness, and we would like it to happen now, all at once!

My grandmother returned to her assisted living apartment yesterday, still having a little trouble breathing, but not nearly as much. They did not drain anything. They just gave her Lasix. It will happen again the doc said, but she's doing well for now. Thank you for your prayers! She is 95 and despises hospitals so she is very happy to be back in her own space.

Grandma is doing relatively well. She is having trouble keeping her oxygen levels up and therefore does not have much energy and tires easily, but she is in her own space at assisted living and not a nursing home and that means a lot to her. We pray she can remain there and not have to transfer elsewhere.

Only one child came down with pox--the others just ran the fevers and that was it. I question whether they gained any immunity.    We're on to the next round of illness--colds this time. And just in time for the oldest's birthday.     I know it's minor, but if you wouldn't mind praying for health for our family, I'd appreciate it! We've been sick for over a month and though I love the naps, the quarantine is getting tiresome--especially with it being the holiday/birthday season around here.
