After nearly 6 months of battling one illness after another, Our Lord brought peace to my grandfather shortly after midnight. Just this previous week, my parents had consulted with a new doctor they trusted very much and made specific decisions about what extreme measures were to be taken should he suddenly worsen given his very frail state. As my father said, they made decisions and then Our Lord made his.
Please keep my parents in prayer as they leave for Peru today and the next weeks as they sort out his estate. Please pray for my aunt, who lived with my grandfather, prone to hysteria and anxiety (my father said she was shrieking last night and needed sedation). Please pray for us, his grandchildren who can only be there in spirit as he is laid to rest. Please pray for my father, a good son, as he says goodbye and now goes on in this world without his parents.
