Please pray for this kind Christian couple. She's a dean at a small college. He's a pastor of a very small Christian church and a part-time professor. His ongoing mental health issues are making it hard for him to preach and teach...he was recently in the hospital to help him restabilize. Her parents are older and one has Alzheimer's. Her boss has chronic problems that she's been dealing with, and now she is job-hunting.
All of this is very, very stressful for this devoted husband and wife team. Please pray that God guides them toward healing for the husband, toward a less stressful work situation for the wife, and toward understanding and acceptance by her parents if they all have to move. This couple intends to care for her parents, but to make that happen, all four people involved have to move to the new job, should it materialize.
It seems to me that many of us deal with situations like this...maybe without thinking that our daily worries deserve prayers, but I definitely think they are prayer-worthy!
St. Martha, who worried about the cares of daily life, and St. Mary, who knew how to focus on the better part, please pray for all of us who are faced with caring for family members, old and young, each day. Ask your close friend, Jesus, our Savior, to show us how to bear our burdens and keep our hearts turned toward Him and Heaven. Plead with Him, as we place our daily cares at His feet, to listen to our prayers and grant our requests if they be in accordance with the will of God.
I feel particularly careworn this week and have many friends who feel the same way. Please know I'm praying for all of you...and thanks for your prayers for this couple. They need a breather from all their daily burdens, for sure.
Thanks!

Praying for peace, healing, and guidance re: the move and job search. So many things, do-able if one at a time, seem so much heavier when they come all at once.
