He had a CT scan and they found something that could be a lipoma (a benign tumor), or a liposarcoma (a malignant one.) From what I understand they think it's more likely to be benign, but of course they and we don't know and there are more appointments to be made. It sounds like it is pretty large.

Please pray. For his health obviously, but also I know he feels really anxious about the prospect of dying and leaving us alone, and even if this is a benign thing we're not going to know that as soon as we'd like (i.e., immediately!)

Update 11/6: There is good news that initial bloodwork all came back normal! But he still needs a biopsy.

Update 11/11: the biopsy is scheduled for Friday morning.

Just FYI-my own dh had a liposarcoma removed many years ago now, and I'm sure the treatment for them has come a long way since then. They are rare, and a benign lipoma is much, much more likely.

Still- praying for a positive outcome!
