Tomorrow my 16 year old nephew Randy will be undergoing surgery. I don't know all the details, but apparently his lung has collapsed twice in the last few weeks, and tomorrow he has a semi-elective surgery to somehow prevent that from happening again.
We would appreciate your prayers for him, his family, and the medical staff. Thank you!

Wow! Sometimes medical science amazes me! Repairing a lung!!!
Praying for your nephew, his family, and those who will be providing his medical care. Praying also that the surgery is successful and that his recovery is swift.

Praying here too.
A friend of mine had the same thing recently - her lung collapsed for the second time and she had preventive surgery. I understand it is a very successful and quite routine procedure.

Praying for Randy, that all will be successful and this will be competely resolved for him, so hard when you are young and dealing with health problems.

Praying for Randy.
My husband had this - I believe it's called "spontaneous pneumothorax." My husband's lungs collapsed a total of seven times (this was over 15 years ago when he was a senior in h.s. and freshman in college). They were able to do a procedure that completely fixed it when he was in college. He has had no ill effects since (and he remained active athletically). Apparently, tall thin males are especially prone to this - I don't think they know why.
Anyway, wishing Randy the best.

My dad suffered from this until he had his lung permanently adhered to his chest cavity. That was....good grief let me think....over 18 years ago! He's been fine ever since, thanks be to God!
How did Randy do, Amy? I'm throwing my prayers in now for recovery.
