I was going to post this anonymously...but...
We desperately need your prayers for discernment and direction. We are in danger of losing our home and this couldn't have come at a worse time as I am just hitting the 38th week of pregnancy. My dh has been trying to change his job for the last several months and we have come up wanting on that end. Things still are not falling into place. He is currently a letter carrier and only recently came to understand what I have been trying to tell him for quite some time now...the salary cannot support even the simplest of living where we are. Even the seeking of a 2nd job has been slow as well. Many people that we have talked to are not in a hurry to hire as they are concerned with the state of the economy etc...it has nothing to do with his qualifications. And even IF I could get a job to quickly help out...i am waaay too pregnant to do that....
We were promised a huge bonus check for some work that he had done and it turns out that instead of a lump sum, which they were promised, it will be given very slowly over the next 3 years....Lord have mercy. He EARNED that money already. This stinks.
I have never prayed more in my life...I attend daily Mass and have seen so many little miracles happen that make me stare in wonder. But facts are, we still have no oil in the tank for winter and a new baby is soon to be here. I still need to buy new diapers for him. I have no clue what to do next. The mortgage just bounced and we might be able to band-aid things until next month but by next month it will bounce for sure.
I am incredulous that this could happen to us. I am at a loss with how to continue. I have been creating miracles in the kitchen and have grown to hate beans. We are eating nutritionally balanced meals at the cost of late bills and I cook from scratch and it makes quite a difference in the cost.
I need a MIRACLE. Please, please pray for my family. We are VERY responsible people and want to pay things on time. We were blindsided by needed repairs to a house that ate our finances (for sale by owner is not what it is cracked up to be, believe me..they hid sooo much from us and the inspectors) and medical bills that grow every day.
My dh is not talking much about it which is bad. He needs to talk but feels overwhelming guilt. I know this board is a source of many special graces, so I come baring my soul and humbly ask for your intercession. It doesn't help that much of our family barely acknowledges our pregnancy or existence anymore unless they get some glory out of it. We were "irresponsible" trusting God with new life. We felt soooo strong a call to it, even after my last 3 medically demanding pregnancies. God took most of the cross of bad health off me this time but the financial stress is overwhelming. I just don't want to be a poster child for "see? that is why you don't have a large family!"...etc
Thy Will Be Done...and hitting send before I chicken out again...
