I know we all have our challenges when it comes to our homes and homeschooling. Today is our first "official" day back to work and I am already despairing.
The combination of an unmotivated and surly teen, five other school age kids, including a non-reader, who all present different challenges, a 2 yr old and a newly crawling baby has me in tears today.
I am not well prepared and wishing I had more money to work with in planning our year.
Please pray for me, as I will also keep your families in my prayers.

Me, too. Our first week is always tough...esp. from our teen boy's point of view. Computer gaming is just cooler than school.
Your love and time will teach them more than any expensive program ever could.

Well, Molly. You are right; you are not alone. It was hard to get back in the swing of things at our house, too.
AND I only eased into the school year with three subjects! 
Prayers for you. It is no fun to be tearful, frustrated and upset on the first day back. Hang in there!!

Praying for you, Molly! It's so hard to be motivated and positive when you feel the odds are stacked against you and the whole school year is looming ahead. Take one day at a time, and don't worry about anything but that day. Our Lady will give you the grace to carry through and work with whatever preparation you have.
