My husband has had to put off getting an X-ray over some ongoing symptoms because of the way life has been lately with car problems (he could get there in our rental, it's just eaten up so much time to deal with) and the other things that needed to be taken care of before our baby is born. Hiatal hernia is the first thing that seems to be suspected for his ongoing symptoms so it is not highly urgent. Well, now he felt some kind of "pop" in his lower abdomen when lifting/carrying our younger son and feels nauseated now, maybe a little bit of pain in that area. We're already paying off earlier emergency room bills and questioning an emergency room bill for a child (first visit ever for one of them -- something stuck to an eyeball on a Saturday night) that seems insane to us but which I wouldn't be at all surprised if we'll end up owing the stated amount after their "audit."
My stress level is going through the roof over a bunch of things. Every time I think we're adjusting to the current set of problems... I imagine his stress level is too, but he's one of those more cheerful people. So mostly I see the stress when these medical concerns come up and he fears either dying on us or bringing home more medical bills.
Anyway, the doctor (finally got a family doctor, so glad we had an alternative to call and not just go to the ER) says with fever or vomiting, go to the emergency room immediately. So please pray that he will be OK and his fears will be calmed.

Oh my goodness, Theresa!
I'm praying here...hoping you're holding a precious baby girl right now with your husband by your side.
As an aside, my dh has struggled through 2 hernia operations...the popping when lifting something is typical. It is so, so hard for me to see my strong husband suffering. I lean on him so much. I'm praying that your dh will be treated soon, and that God will provide for your financial challenges in a way that allows both you and your dh some peace!
