Please pray that this dreadful conflict ends soon, and that both sides can see reason. It's heartbreaking to see so many people suffering.

Thanks for posting this Nancy. As many of you know we lived there for two and a half years (2004 - 2007). We have many friends still there and it is awful to watch the suffering, and to imagine the fallout. As organizations leave (Peace Corps evacuated all its volunteers, for example) people lose their jobs and their livelihoods.
I hope the suffering ends soon for everyone involved.

So much suffering!! This is something that we just don't experience first hand and can be grateful for it. Praying for all those suffering people!

Prayers for peace for Georgia. Prayers for all Georgians and Russians/Ossetians who are perescuted, are suffering, are scared, are helpless. So many civilians killed and thousands who have fled from their destroyed homes.
I have non-Georgian friends out there, families of missionaries and families of the European Commission who continue to stay with the Georgians in a human level of solidarity (not just politically). Please pray also for them, since they know they could be comfortably elsewhere but choose to be with their brothers and sisters and help out in any way possible. It must feel lonely for them to see their expatriate friends leave them as they are very few.
