Could I please beg some prayers? I have what seems to be quickly turning into a full blown case of mastitis. That is bad enough, but in the morning I have about 5 hours of driving to do to pick my oldest up from camp. Dh cannot do it because he has a job interview. There is no one else I can ask. On the way down, it will just be the baby and I.

Could you please prayer for a miraculous recovery?

Eeeew, Molly. That's so unfair. I hate mastitis. Are you feverish? Can you get some zinc lozenges? Tylenol or Advil (even better). How miserable to have to drive such a long way feeling lousy.

Thank you so much for the prayers! Please keep them coming. I am feeling much better. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean I feel well. I still feel achy and sore, but the chills and fever are gone. I am loaded up on Ibuprofen.

I spent the night dosing on Phytolacca and drinking fluids. I got a few hours of sleep.

It is 2.5 hours each way, with a ceremony and lunch in the middle. I just can't wait to come back home and crash!

oh, this is so hard!!! I am PRAYING for you that this day passes quickly and as pain free as possible. don;t be afraid to get antibiotics if you think you need them; after 9!!! cases, I finally broke down and ended up with a standing order for my subsequent pregnancies...

thank you all for the prayers. I managed to stave off the worst of it. I know the phytolacca and vitamin C really helped. But I can't help but think that it was your prayers that really pulled me through it.

I made it through yesterday's road trip and then a couple more hours of driving and activities today. I have a killer sore throat and head cold now, but that is nothing compared to mastitis!

We have already decided on going to evening Mass tomorrow and letting everyone sleep in! The kids are wiped out from their exciting weeks. We should all sleep well tonight.
