Hi everyone,
After a year and a half of homeschooling, we are loving the way our family has been brought closer together, we love the learning lifestyle, faith formation is going well...what is missing are nice companions for my kids. I live in a very rural area, there is no co-op here. Unfortunately, many of the children we knew from the Catholic school we had attended were not the type of children we wanted our kids to be around on a regular basis. We don't need a lot of friends, just a few nice kids to see on a regular basis. I only have three kids, and no extended family around, so I can't really rely on family for this one!

I will join you in praying. I am also praying for this intention for my children. A dear friend (who sadly lives 8 hours away) composed this prayer:
Dear Lord, Thank you for the friends you have sent our way ... Please continue to send us friends that you want us to be with and keep all those who would do us harm away. Amen
I love it, it's just what I had in my heart.

Praying! My son does have many wonderful friends, but we don't see them nearly as often as we would like since we are in different towns. The neighborhood kids that he plays with are usually nice, but last night he came in in tears because they were ganging up on him and being mean.  He was so heartbroken.

The last time that our family prayed hard specifically for friends for my children (ages 9, 6, and 3 at the time) the Good Lord brought us stefoodie/Stef and her wonderful family! Be sure to have your children pray...Jesus certainly hears the prayers of children in a special way. Praying!
