Thank you to all who have been holding my extended family in prayer. There have been several prayer requests, posted by my sister and me, having to do with my BIL and his struggle with faith issues. Well check this out...

My BIL, Mark, and sister, Jennifer, hit a real low. We continued to pray and asked others for prayers. My BIL agreed to go talk to a priest. The priest recommended that he go to a retreat being held at the parish. BIL agreed and went last weekend. Well...the Holy Spirit did some serious work on Mark and now Mark is awakening to a whole new world of God's Love. He called me last night and it was such a privilege to share in the moment with him. He is humbled and on fire!

I share this with permission of my BIL. He wanted me to thank everyone who has been praying for him (some have been praying for years!) He wanted me to reassure others that if the Holy Spirit can get to him through prayer and the devotion of his wife, then there is HUGE HOPE for other men in his shoes, LOL!

Please continue to pray for Jennifer and Mark and the whole family. For those of us who have been away from God and have found our way home, we know how wonderful AND disorienting it is.

My mom and I were laughing that we didn't see THIS coming! Then we realized that we have each been praying that God strike Mark with lightening akin to St. Paul! Well, he wasn't hit by physical lightening but was surely hit by Something amazing .
