Wow! This has been quite the week in our family, I'll tell ya! My mom just called me this morning to tell me my 10yo nephew Justin was having severe pain while two hours away for his brother's baseball game. They took him to the local hospital there, and they transported him by ambulance back to Buffalo Children's Hospital.

They are doing tests right now, as he had pancreatitis and had surgery recently. They found it's in his intestines, and think it could be a viral infection and are trying to test for Chron's Disease. My poor nephew has been through SO much this past year, and my heart is breaking for him right now. My poor brother Brad is really upset. It's been a really tough week emotionally anyway, and he's having a rough time. The pain was so bad, they had to give my nephew morphine.

Please pray for my nephew's healing. He's got the sweetest, most cherubic face, and my heart is breaking thinking about how much pain he's in right now, and for all he's gone through this year. Please pray for the doctor's wisdom, that they will be able to find what is the problem, and treat it. Please pray for my brother, Brad and sister in law, Carolyn. My mom knows your prayers are powerful, and specifically asked me to put him on the prayer requests. I'll update as I know more.

UPDATE!!!

Justin is home from the hospital. He came home yesterday.

They ruled out Chron's and Colitis. They found he had a bowel obstruction, and treated him for that. They are doing tests on him to try to find out what the problem is. Some results of those tests are expected today. Right now, we're praying, waiting, and praying for the doctor's discernment, and for Justin to be OK. He's had so many problems this year for a 10yo guy.
