Ok, Star log...Oct 20, 2005
Steve has an interview this pm with a different company. He found the job post on craigslist this morning, called the lady and she wants to interview him today!
I woke early this morning and went to mass at the parish nearby. The psalm reading was full of hope as was the Communion antiphon. I KNEW I was there to be uplifted! I felt so grateful.
After yesterday, Steve felt so down...
I'm really trying to be my dh's cheerleader! And I should say my family's...my cartwheel's are a bit rusty but I can still do the splits! With all the financial contortionism in our house...I suppose that's a good thing!
Again, thank you so much for your prayers.
Something good is coming...
Love and God Bless,

Thanks for the update. I'm really admiring your humor and peace about your situation...and be assured of continual prayers. Having this community makes me more aware of sufferings I endure are helping out the people I'm praying for on this list!
Now, what is this craigslist? This is the second or third time I've seen it mentioned and I have NO IDEA what it is.

Maria,
I love your attitude. You are so strong. I am praying for you and I really do hope things look up soon. Financial security is a wonderful thing to have. My brother also has been looking for work for a long time and his situation always reminds me of yours except that he only has one daughter.....

Hi Families,
Steve just got back from his interview and he will most likely be having another interview tomorrow or early next week.
Thank you mucho for those prayers and support. Yesterday, when Steve was out, I snuck alot of time on the computer just reading all of the posts and pm's that I received. It was so uplifting.
I really think the reason that I am able to maintain my humor is because of all of the prayers and sacrifices offered for our family. I honestly feel comforted. I'm reminded constantly of living for the day, lately...and also, because of how we were raised...emphasis on IMAGE instead of substance, I really think that this is why God has led me this way...by allowing me to live counter-culturally - not just as a Catholic - but as a poor Catholic, God has stripped away my preconceived notions of self-worth and value and replaced them with truth. In addition, because my parents' divorced when I was 13 and because I haven't seen my dad since I was 14 (his choice), I believe that God has had to hide himself only for me to find him...so that I learn to trust...
Anyway, I didn't mean to go on...dh is home from his job hunt, food is in the crock pot and my children have not really argued today. It's been a mentally restful day.

Maria,
Just saw your post. I'll be praying today for your dh's job situation and that the graces from yesterday spill over into today.

Steve's got a phone interview with Intel on Monday morning at 9am!
An interview is in the works with a different company that's closer to our home but he'll know more later today.
Right now, he's preparing to take a test. That retraining I told you guys about is to become a big rig driver...and he has to take the written exam this pm.
Thanks in advance for the prayers.

I should have waited to post today but I was so excited earlier about the possibilities...I guess I'm like a big kid!
Well, for starters, he passed the written test for driving today
AND
he's got an interview - a lunch interview, mind you, with the President of the company he's really interested in working for...then, he'll interview with two others after lunch...this will be on Tuesday.
Btw, I received two generous gifts today from you ladies.
I intend, once we're able to have masses said for all of your intentions as a token of our gratitude.
Love and God Bless,

Hi Families,
I thought I'd just fill you in...
Steve was at an interview this am from 8:00am till 11:00 - this would be for a PERMANENT POSITION WITH BENEFITS...we haven't had benefits for 5 years. Steve is very interested in this position for the opportunities...not the least of which is providing for his family !
Secondly, yesterday he had a lunch interview that seemed to go well so we're waiting to hear. In addition he's finishing up part of his interview with Intel this pm so things are busy.
Thanks for your prayers and for your generosity in all the endeavors undertaken for our family.

Hi Families,
I hope noone is bored with our saga. I just don't have much good news lately to post...
We thought by tonight we'd know about whether or not any of the positions Steve interviewed for would be his or not but we did learn a little more. Intel has not made a decision, the 2nd company is still interviewing folks and the 3rd company wants Steve it's just that all of the other hiring members are out of town and the man with whom Steve interviewed was giving permission to hire a junior-tech and Steve is mid-level to senior level so he has to pitch him to his colleagues.
In the meantime, he's been submitted for two other positions.
I have to say I've been very down today and nervous. By my will I try to not to worry and then in certain moments, find I'm totally stressed.
My human side has been VERY human today....
So there you go...what chapter is this now?
I know something good is coming for our family. I just can't see - and control freak that I am likes to know the future.
Thanks for listening.

Prayer to St. Joseph
O glorious St. Joseph, you who have power to render possible things which
are impossible, come to our aid in our present trouble and distress. Take
this important and difficult affair under your particular protection, that
it may end happily. O dear, St. Joseph, all our confidence is in you. Let it
not be said that we have invoked you in vain, and since you are so powerful
with Jesus and Mary, show that your goodness equals your power. Amen.
Divine Providence can provide.
Divine Providence did provide.
Divine Providence will provide.

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for your prayers. I’m better today. Yesterday, Steve and Isabella were both sick and I think that compounded my feelings of having no control….
I appreciate your prayers, support and encouragement.
Steve is staying home from school today but the kids are still getting rides from their coaches to their games…
I’ve managed to get an earache!
VITAMIN C, here I come!
