I have a situation with my dd and need prayers. She is 9yo and is in need of a root canal. We had an appt this AM with a specialists ( I use this term loosely  ) After I left dd in his care he tried to begin the proceedure. She was extremely nervous and made some scared noises as he began the shot. After trying again she again squelled still keeping her mouth open following his instructions. He told her that he could not do the procedure today unless she cooperated and that she should go home until she cooperated. I was called in and told the same. I left quickly and comforted my dd. I was soooooooo angry with this man I can't put into words my feelings  .
Her regular dentist has given us another referral and we are going tomorrow at 8:00AM EST. If you can please offer up your morning prayers for her and myself. She has been in terrible pain since Friday and we really need for this proceedure to take place. Also pray for the Dentist as well. Thank you so very much.

poor girl! praying for her, a good dentist, and for momma. my 5 yo needed a filling recently (our very first cavity in the family!  ) and it was so hard. i was able to sit with him and head off any problems. i talked to him the whole time explaining everything and it went quite smoothly. can you stay with her?

Ohhh, Julia had to have this done at 6. She hit her mouth on the headboard and broke a front tooth. It took many months of short appointments to get it completed. 
We will definitely keep both of you in our prayers. (And the dentist without a bedside manner  )

Anne, I have been through dental work with my children and the care provider makes all the difference! We've had bad and good. I am so sorry about the bad experience. Praying that all goes well.

Well she did it!!!!! 
Our paryers were answered. The dentist was soft spoken kind and understanding. He did have to warn me privately that if she did not stay calm he would not be able to work on her. I appreciated his candor and was able to calm dd down before the actual drilling began. He allowed me to stay in the room with her and she did have a few moments of pain but after 1hr it was all over and she was thanking everyone in the office as we left. It is so nice to find a professional who acts like a professional. We are going to have to write him a thank you note I think we were his toughest patient yet. 
Thank you so much for all of the encouragement. I felt your prayers as I recited mine during the ordeal.
