We had a sonogram on Friday and saw a healthy little girl! We also saw a low lying placenta. It is my understanding that the placenta usually migrates even if it's low at 20 weeks.They'll scan again at 28 and then follow it depending upon what they see.They first saw the placenta two weeks ago at a sono in the midwife's office. No one seemed terribly worried and they said it would likely move. But, yesterday, they put a fair amount of restrictions on my activity. The restrictions seem a bit more serious than what I was led to believe on Friday or two weeks ago when they first saw the placenta. If it hasn't moved by 28 weeks, they said I'll be on bedrest until the c-section. I'm kind of perplexed and having trouble getting through to anyone in authority at the midwife's office. I'm trying not to panic about anything: the baby's health, the potential for bleeding, the c-section, how I'm going to manage this household and eight children on bedrest... Mike starts traveling extensively in August. Anyway, would you please offer a prayer for all of it?

Praying for you Elizabeth, all of mine but baby number one were low lying, with one being partial previa, and they all "moved" enough that it was all ok.
Congrats on another little girl!! How fun. 
Many graces can come from bedrest- and watching life pass you by from the couch or bed is freeing in a way. It is amazing how much the kids can do on their own, and everyone is generous with their time to help with carpools, appts, etc. One day at a time!! 
Praying that you can speak with someone soon so that a more clear protocol can be confirmed.
