We have been having some difficulty lately with some of our extended family (chiefly my side), whose dislike of our Catholicism is no secret. A couple of family members, otherwise quite dear to us, have recently been targeting our older children for some "de-Catholic-brainwashing," as I'm sure they see it. Our upcoming move will naturally mean that contact with them will be more limited, but this is something we're obviously going to have to be wary about in the future.
Fortunately our older kids are pretty savvy and under no illusions about where certain family members are coming from. Still, it saddens me that things are like this. I would really so much rather just get along with everyone.
