Emily has decided to go to college now. She has taken all five sections of the GED and so far has passed all but the essay section. We are awaiting the results of that section.
Please pray that she scores at least a 540 so that she will qualify for an extra scholarship for books. They have already promised it to her as long as she meets the criteria and the last thing is her average must be 550 or more. A score of exactly 540 keeps her average at 550.
We won't know for at least a few days but more likely it will be another week before we have the results.

UPDATE
Praise the Lord! She PASSED!  She is officially a college student.      (We need a "mixed emotions" emoticon, lol).
Unfortunately she didn't score high enough on the last part to qualify for the extra scholarship. She was so worried about not passing the essay, she took too long writing on the scratch paper. She ran out of time while transfering it to the test form, so her score was much lower than it really could have been.
There is a very slim chance that they will allow her to retake that portion of the test to try to increase the score but it is unlikely. She will still be going but she will have to work a little harder and earn some of the money.
